Jason vs Cardone is an unofficial fan project built for fun and entertainment. This page explains what the site collects and which outside services it uses.
What we store
- Fan votes. When you vote, your browser gets a random ID in a cookie (
ath_fan) so you can change sides. We store that ID, in hashed form, with your pick for the current 4-hour round. Votes are not linked to your name or account. - Ringside comments. We store the name and comment you post. They are shown to everyone and deleted after 2 minutes. To limit spam we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and the time of your last comment.
- Your chat name. Saved in your own browser (local storage) so you don't retype it. It never leaves your device except when you post.
Outside services
- Coinbase supplies the live Bitcoin price and charts. Your browser connects to Coinbase directly.
- X (Twitter) powers the embedded posts and the share button. X may set its own cookies under its privacy policy.
- A-Ads may show a labeled advertisement. Ads are served by A-Ads under its own privacy policy.
- Netlify hosts the site and stores votes and comments. Like any host, it processes standard request logs.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces.
- Google Analytics counts visits and which parts of the page people use, only if you choose “Allow” in the cookie banner. IP addresses are anonymized. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal data, use advertising trackers, or ask you to create an account. Analytics only runs with your permission.
